Different inserts and boosters
There are different kind of Inserts/boosters you can use to help build the absorbancy.
All inserts can be used as boosters.
Boosters tend to be smaller than inserts and used to boost absorbancy.
Inserts/boosters are made using different materials.
Microfibre - This tends to be the most common insert you will come across. Microfibre is man made polyester fabric. It is quick drying and absorbant. Microfibre can cause irritation to babies skin so should be placed away from the skin, Preferably inside a pocket. Some inserts have a layer of fleece or suedecloth to make it friendlier next to the skin.
Bamboo - Bamboo inserts are one of the most absorbant materials available. Bamboo is often recommended for those heavy wetters or to be used for over night/ long journeys. Bamboo does take longer to dry compared to synthetic materials.
Cotton- Cotton is a natural fibre and is also good at absorbing. cotton takes a while to dry but contains no chemicals.
Hemp - Is also a natural fibre and very absorbent. It is good for sensitive skin. Hemp is often used as a booster as it draws in moisture slower than other types of materials.
